Worship Ministries

Acolytes serve at worship services by leading the procession; lighting the candles; carrying crosses, banners, and torches; and assisting the clergy at the altar. This group is open to youth age 10 (or grade 4) and above.  Be sure to check the home page for upcoming training dates.

Altar Guild members prepare the altar and sanctuary for all services. They also set the table for special services such as weddings and funerals.

Lay Eucharistic Ministers read lessons, lead prayers, and administer the chalice. This is open to confirmed adults and youth over age 16.

Lay Readers (Lectors) read lessons at Sunday services. This ministry is open to all who have been baptized.

Worship Committee members work in conjunction with the music minister to select music for the upcoming services. This ministry is open to anyone with an interest in music.
