Children's Ministry
Given the opportunity, their lively and passionate expressions of faith can inspire all.
Our hope at St. Stephens is for each child who visits our church to experience and embrace the profound love of God in Christ and to realize that he/she has been created for a specific and special purpose.
This year, our focus is to proclaim the Gospel to the children and allow for discussion. Instead of ‘preaching’ to the children, we have divided them up according to their respective grade level, and then generated dialogue that fits their interests and experiences. What we have seen is that this approach can empower them to receive and respond to God’s love. Through this, we are finding that the children of St. Stephens are innately spiritual.
Our Children's Chapel
The St. Stephen's Children's Chapel is a pint-sized version of a traditional chapel, each detail made in diminutive scale for the comfort of our smallest parishioners. Children's Chapel is a place for little ones to experience Bible stories in ways that engage their senses: sight, sound, smell, and touch. In addition to learning stories, our children may learn new songs for each church season.
Youth Group
St. Stephen's Youth Group meets each Sunday for prayer, stories, projects and fellowship. Our youth group participates in a variety of outreach in our parish and the community.
The Youth Group meets once a month for a fun night. Make sure to check the home page for dates and times of upcoming events. All 6th - 12th graders are welcome and encouraged to bring friends.
