OUR SERVICES

Holy Eucharist

On Sundays, we celebrate Holy Communion at two services: 8 am and 10 am. Both services are essentially the same. However, the 10 am service is enhanced with the use of sacred music. This service also makes provisions for the involvement of children in the liturgy and in their own Children's Chapel. Childcare in our nursery is available for children up to age 5 during the 10 am service (from 9:30 am until 11:30 am). There is no music during the 8 am service. The 8 am service lasts approximately 45 minutes, while the 10 am service is usually 1 hour 15 minutes long.

In addition, We offer Holy Eucharist with the Rite of Healing the first Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. from September through May.

WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN ATTENDING ST. STEPHENS

Our order of worship is based on the tradition of the world-wide Anglican Communion . This worship style dates back long before the western church divided into Catholic and Reformed churches. For this reason, you will find that our services and teachings have similarities to both Catholic and Reformed churches. If you are familiar with Roman Catholic services, then you will recognize many parts of our service, but you will probably find our teachings to be more "Reformed." All baptized Christians, regardless of denomination, are encouraged to receive Holy Communion with us. All others are invited to receive a blessing at the time of communion.

You are welcome to attend St. Stephens as you are! Some people dress in suits, and others in jeans, we want you to be as comfortable as possible when worshipping with us.
